Video: The Creative and Mental Health

by | Wellness

Ah, another mental health video. I know it seems like bait because mental health is the “new cool thing,” (except it’s not because man depression and anxiety are not fun) but it doesn’t mean we need to stop talking about it.

A quick search will show you 1 in 5 Adults have a mental health condition. That’s over 40 million Americans.

And

Youth mental health is worsening. Rates of youth with severe depression increased from 5.9% in 2012 to 8.2% in 2015. Even with severe depression, 76% of youth are left with no or insufficient treatment

And so we must talk about it more. We must find a way to break the stigma and have an honest conversation about it.

I’m not an expert. I only know from my own experiences and what has worked for me (and what hasn’t).
